Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET)
is the first step in the process of admission to the 2-Year Full-Time
Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by the IITs.
Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras,
and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.
JMET is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply
separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to
look up the details provided in the online e-brochure about the
programmes available in the participating Institutes. There is no limit
to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or
she meets the eligibility criteria.

IIT Bombay: Master of Management (M.Mgt.). Eligibilty criteria

Master of Business Administration (MBA) with focus on Management Systems
Master of Business Administration (MBA) with focus on Telecommunication Systems Management.
IIT Kanpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Eligibilty criteria
IIT Kharagpur: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Eligibilty criteria
IIT Madras: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Eligibilty criteria
IIT Roorkee: Master of Business Administration (MBA). Eligibilty criteria
The Application Process
JMET 2010 Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE.
ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the website
of any of the IITs or IISc. The application fee is Rs. 350/- for
SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates.
The details for collection of and submission of application form,
eligibility criteria and other relevant information are available at
the website http://gateonline.iisc.ernet.in/jmet_web_2010/index.html.
GATE Office, IISc Bangalore will post the JMET 2010 Admit Card by speed post to the address given in the application form by 30th October, 2009.
If you do not receive your admit card by December 1, 2009
you should contact the GATE Office, IISc Bangalore or visit the website
to know the Registration Number and the address of the test centre.
Important Dates
Commencement of online application form submission : September 7, 2009 (Monday)
Last Date for Online application form submission (website closure): October 9, 2009 at 6:00 PM (Friday)
Last Date for Receipt of completed online application form at IISc Bangalore: October 16, 2009 (Friday)
Date of JMET: December 13, 2009 (Sunday) 10:00 hours to 13:00 hours
Announcement of Results: January 4, 2010
