Xavier Admission Test (XAT)-2011
Description
There are more than 70 Management Institutes who are selecting students from XAT 2011. Applicants desirous of joining XLRI or any other institutions have to appear for XAT 2011.

XAT Bulletin & XLRI Prospectus can be obtained from 120 Branches of Axis Bank or from the XAT Office / Admissions Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur, 831001.

There are 33 cities in which XAT exam shall be conducted. In Metros and large cities there will be multiple Test Centre.

Ahmeda bad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Berhampur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Trivandrum, Vadodara, Visakhapatnam.

Eligibility Criteria for XAT

Various Programmes available at XLRI are:

A bachelors degree under 10+2+3 system from a recognized university or a deemed university.Those completing their final examination by 10 June, 2011 may also apply.

BM: 2-Year Post Graduate Programme in Business Management.
PMIR: 2 -Year Post Graduate Programme in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations
FPM: 4-Year Fellow Programme in Management.
GMP: 1-Year General Management Programme.

For BM & PM&IR programmes, graduates who have completed three years of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by a University or Deemed University are eligible to apply. Those completing their final examination may also apply.


For GMP, minimum 5 years of relevant work experience after graduation (10 + 2 + 3) is required.

For FPM applicants should have a Master' s degree or its equivalent in any discipline, or CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) or a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).

Admission Process
Application Process:
A candidate has to first register for XLRI at http://www.xlri.net.in/ and then only he / she can obtain XLRI Prospectus from select branches of Axis Bank.

Once the candidate logs on to this site, a full set of instructions will appear and following them, the candidate can obtain his/her ID and password. This ID and password are to be indicated for all the future correspondence with XAT Office, Jamshedpur.

For writing the XAT, the candidates should select their convenient cities from the list of city-choices available on the web site.
