| Description |
| Management Aptitude Test –MAT is a popular national entrance test among the management aspirants. This test is conducted by the Centre for Management Services (CMS) of All India Management Association (AIMA). Institutes offering PG program in management and allied subjects generally participate in this exam. All management institutes that participate in MAT are either AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) approved or affiliated to universities. This exam has the unique distinction of being the first to be awarded with ISO 9001: 2000 Certification. |
| Eligibility Criteria for MAT |
| Students who have completed their graduatation or who are going to complete their graduation the following year are eligible to apply and appear for the MAT Examination. |
| Exam Pattern |
MAT is an objective type test with multiple-choice answers. The test is designed to measure a person’s general aptitudes on the following section. The test is two and half hour duration and usually comprises of 5 sections. There is negative marking for answering a question wrong
Paper 1: Language Comprehension ( Reading Comprehension) - 40 Marks
Paper 2: Mathematical Skills (Quantitative Aptitude) - 40 Marks
Paper 3: Data Analysis (Data Interpretation/Data Sufficiency) - 40 Marks
Paper 4: Intelligence & Critical Reasoning (Logical and Critical Reasoning) - 40 Marks
Paper 5: Indian & Global Environment Section Marks (General Awareness) - 40
**Scores are based on the first four sections only, the decision to consider scores of the General Awareness section are left to the institutes. |
